Shady Bug, a St. Louis band signed to Julia's War Recordings, will release their new album "I wanted to be there" at the end of October. The single "seed" has been released ahead of the album. Musically, "seed" starts with scraggly and discordant whirlly guitars and pounding drums, resembling a panic attack. As the track slows down, emotional clarity emerges.
Hannah Rainey's vocals in the song express the feeling of someone's temporary presence having a long-lasting impact on one's personal reality. The music video for "seed" is available for viewing. "I wanted to be there" will be available for pre-order on October 30 via Julia's War/Bee Side Cassettes.
