Qatar participates in 126th meeting of GCC Financial, Economic Cooperation Committee

Qatar took part in the 126th gathering of the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee, which took place in Manama, Bahrain, on Thursday. The delegation from Qatar was headed by HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari. During the meeting, the group reviewed the results of various GCC organizations, including the GCC Central Banks Governors Committee, the Customs Union Authority, the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Departments, and the Gulf Common Market Committee.

They also examined the General Secretariat's report on actions taken in response to present economic trends in the region and globally. Discussions focused on mechanisms to enforce decisions aimed at preventing harmful trade practices. The committee further discussed progress on free trade agreement negotiations between GCC countries and other nations or blocs, as well as updates on advancements towards achieving comprehensive economic unity within the GCC.
