Proteas taking ‘confidence and momentum’ into Test series against Australia
After winning the ODI series 2-1, the SA team will face the tourists in a three-match Test series starting next week.
The South African cricket team, led by national captain Temba Bavuma, is heading into the upcoming Test series against Australia with confidence and momentum following their recent ODI series victory. Despite losing the final one-day international in Potchefstroom, the Proteas had won the first two games in Durban and Johannesburg, securing a 2-1 series win.
Several players, including specialist batters Bavuma, David Miller, and Matthew Breetzke, performed exceptionally well, scoring centuries, while bowlers Keshav Maharaj and Corbin Bosch were standout performers, recording four-wicket hauls. With Australia being the host nation at home, the Proteas are determined to overcome the challenge and focus on putting their best foot forward in the first match of the series at Kingsmead, starting next Friday.
