PM Shehbaz to Inaugurate 3 Major Road Projects in Coming Months

Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan announced that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be unveiling several significant road projects in the coming months, as reported during a National Highway Authority (NHA) review meeting. The three major initiatives include the Lodhran-Multan Expressway, the Peshawar Northern Bypass, and an expansion of the Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad Motorway. Khan stated that these projects are set to be completed and inaugurated before the end of the month.

The meeting reviewed the progress of NHA's ongoing and proposed projects, focusing on revenue enhancement, road safety, development programs, and financial matters. Khan highlighted that work on the Sialkot-Kharian Motorway was advancing rapidly, and construction had already begun on the Karachi-Quetta-Chaman Pakistan Expressway (N-25). In response to the deteriorating condition of the Lahore-Gujranwala GT Road, Khan directed the NHA to take immediate action to alleviate the inconvenience faced by travelers.

During the meeting, officials briefed Khan on funding for the M-6 Motorway, as well as projects included in the Public Sector Development Program and NHA schemes spanning all four provinces.
