Obasa rallies voters for APC, urges support for Tinubu, Hamzat

Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has called on residents of Agege Federal Constituency to rally behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its gubernatorial candidate, Bola Tinubu, as well as APC House of Representatives candidate Obasa for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The call came during an APC mega rally held at Amoo Field, Orile Agege, aimed at launching the party's campaign in the constituency.

Obasa urged supporters to engage all sectors, including trade associations, artisans, religious groups, traditional institutions, and community organizations, to convert the party's numerical strength into increased electoral support. He emphasized that the party should surpass its previous vote count, not just achieve victory. Obasa also urged voters to cast their ballots for Tinubu, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule, and himself as the party's House of Representatives candidate.

The rally drew traditional and religious leaders, APC leaders and supporters, trade association representatives, and leaders from non-Yoruba communities. Despite the midday heat, the turnout was described as evidence of the strength and cohesion of the APC in Agege. Obasa urged party members to remain focused on their campaign, avoid distractions from detractors, and maintain peace throughout the campaign and election period.
