Munna Bhai MBBS actor borrowed Rs 500, vanished without a trace 10 years ago

In 2016, the young actor behind the role of Munna Bhai in the 2003 film Vishal Thakkar vanished without a trace. Thakkar, who went on to build a career in films and television, had appeared in movies like Tango Charlie and TV shows such as Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Thapki Pyaar Ki. On New Year's Eve 2015, Thakkar borrowed Rs 500 from his mother and left his home in Mulund.

He told his girlfriend he needed to meet a friend in Andheri, and was last seen leaving for the area around 11.45 am on January 1. His phone was switched off shortly after, and no ransom calls, hospital reports, or recovered phone were found. His bank account showed no activity, leaving investigators with little evidence to determine his fate.
