Lorcan John Tucker, a professional cricketer from Dublin, Ireland, was born on 10 September 1996. He is a right-handed wicket-keeper batter who represents Ireland in all formats of the game. Tucker's cricketing journey began at a young age, thanks to his family background in the sport. His father, Barry Tucker, was a former player and later chair of Pembroke Cricket Club, where he and his two brothers—Fiachra and Donncha—developed their passion for cricket.

Lorcan made his mark on the international stage in 2016, debuting for Ireland in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), one-day internationals (ODIs), and Test matches. Known for his reliable glovework and useful batting, he has contributed significantly in shorter formats. He scored a notable 57 runs against India during the 2016 Under-19 World Cup, catching the attention of then-India Under-19 coach Rahul Dravid. His brother Fiachra also participated in the same tournament.

Tucker has represented Ireland in various domestic and international leagues, including the Caribbean Premier League, Indian Premier League, and other franchise T20 competitions. He has been selected for central contracts in 2019 and 2020, reflecting his growing importance to the national team. Tucker made his Test debut against Bangladesh in 2023, scoring a crucial century on his debut, further establishing himself as a key player for Ireland.
