Kid Rock has unveiled plans for an upcoming Christian music album called "Halfway to Jesus," with an official release slated for October 17th. The project consists of 17 tracks and includes collaborations with renowned artists such as Eminem, Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts, and Jimmie Allen. The single "James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)" is set to be released prior to the album's debut, generating anticipation among fans.
The album's artwork features Kid Rock positioned halfway towards Jesus, with the devil looming behind him. In a recent interview with Fox & Friends, Kid Rock expressed his motivation behind creating a Christian music album, stating that he sought to compose songs that resonated with his personal faith while incorporating elements of rock 'n' roll, country, and hip-hop.
His goal was to replace the "dark place" he had experienced in Catholic and Baptist churches with music that celebrated Jesus and his beliefs. The final track on "Halfway to Jesus" pays homage to the Lee Greenwood anthem "God Bless the USA."
