Jalen Brunson responds to LeBron James’ recent praise
Jalen Brunson responded to praise from LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo after leading the Knicks to their first title since 1973.
LeBron James praised Jalen Brunson as an "unbelievable" player during Philadelphia 76ers media day, citing how the Knicks' historic 2026 championship run influenced his decision to join the 76ers. Giannis Antetokounmpo also praised Brunson during his own media availability. Brunson responded with appreciation, emphasizing that he views the attention as a sign of his growth and a reminder to keep improving, rather than a validation of his current status.
The praise comes after Brunson's strong postseason, where he averaged 28.4 points during the Knicks' 16-3 playoff run, earning him both Eastern Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP honors as the Knicks captured their first championship since 1973.
