October 1st marks the start of Inktober 2026, a month-long drawing challenge that has artists worldwide embracing their ink pens. Initiated by artist Jake Parker in 2009, Inktober has evolved into a global phenomenon, encouraging participants to hone their inking skills, explore new ideas, and maintain a regular drawing routine. This year's official prompt list for Inktober 2026 has been unveiled, offering a fresh daily theme for artists to work with.
The essence of Inktober lies in its simplicity: every day, artists are tasked with creating an ink drawing based on the day's prompt, then sharing their work with the world. This year, Day 1's prompt is "Apple," a subject that artists are already putting their unique spins on, from realistic renderings to whimsical characters and innovative concepts.
