India and Pakistan to clash in pool phase at 2027 Cricket World Cup

South Africa's cricket team will be pleased with the 2027 Cricket World Cup fixtures, as they have been fortunate to avoid some of the biggest teams in the opening round. Group B, in which South Africa will compete, includes New Zealand, Sri Lanka, England, Bangladesh, and a qualifier side.

In the more formidable Group A, South Africa will face off against top-ranked India, defending champions Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, and another qualifier team. The top two teams from each group, along with the best fourth-placed side from both pools, will advance to the Super 7 stage of the tournament.

The semifinals will be held in Cape Town on November 17th and Centurion on November 18th, followed by the final at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on November 21st. The first match of the tournament will take place between India and Australia in Cape Town on October 7th, with South Africa facing New Zealand in their opening game on October 9th.

In total, 12 venues across South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and other host cities will host the matches. In South Africa alone, games will be played in Cape Town, Paarl, Johannesburg, Tshwane, Bloemfontein, Durban, KuGompo City, and Gqeberha. Other locations include Harare, Bulawayo, and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, along with Windhoek in Namibia.
