FoST Partners With Wateen Telecom to Deploy GPON and AI-Based Surveillance at FRTZ

Pakistan’s ICT and digital solutions leader, Wateen Telecom, has joined forces with FoST, the official developer of the Foundation Renewable & Technology Zone (FRTZ) in Karachi, Sindh. The collaboration aims to establish FRTZ as a leading hub for renewable energy manufacturing and cutting-edge technologies. As part of this strategic partnership, Wateen Telecom will provide a Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) and implement an AI-powered CCTV and Vision Analytics system within the FRTZ.

The agreement was formalized through a signing ceremony attended by senior representatives from both companies. Wateen Telecom will be responsible for the design, deployment, operation, and maintenance of the fiber-based GPON network across the FoST zone. Additionally, they will supply, install, integrate, and commission a state-of-the-art CCTV and AI Vision Analytics solution at FRTZ's premises. Wateen Telecom will offer 24/7 monitoring, maintenance, and technical support throughout the duration of the agreement.
