Former Chiefs Starting QB Named Trade Candidate to Help Baker Mayfield

Former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Gardner Minshew could soon be a trade candidate for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to NFL reporter Gilberto Manzano. Minshew was thrust into starting duties last season when Patrick Mahomes suffered a season-ending injury. Following his tenure with the Chiefs, Minshew signed with the Arizona Cardinals, serving as a backup.

However, Manzano believes the Buccaneers, who are currently struggling with Baker Mayfield, may need to bring in Minshew as an insurance policy. Manzano suggests that Minshew, despite lacking upside, can still help the Buccaneers avoid a top-10 pick and the prospect of drafting Mayfield's replacement in April.
