Florida Gators have been here before, and look at our new state football rankings
The Florida Gators are 4-0 under new head coach Jon Sumrall, and yes, it's happened before.
The Florida Gators have a promising start to their coaching tenure under Jon Sumrall, who has a 4-0 record, including wins against SEC opponents Auburn and Ole Miss. This performance has temporarily dethroned the Miami Hurricanes as the top-ranked team. However, measuring the Gators' success can be difficult, as only three former UF coaches since Steve Spurrier have started 4-0 in their first year as head coach.
The Gators' performance includes wins against unranked teams but also losses to teams like Alabama, LSU, Auburn, and Georgia. The team faces road challenges in upcoming games against Missouri, Texas, and Georgia.
