Former England captain John Terry has declared Arsenal as the "clear favourites" to win the Premier League title this season. The London club has secured four wins from their opening five matches before the September international break. In contrast, Chelsea has only managed seven points from their first five games under manager Xabi Alonso.
Speaking to Theo Walcott via Walcott's TikTok account, Terry said Arsenal are "unfortunately" going to be the Premier League champions. He acknowledged that Chelsea had a good start to the season, but added that they have been "hit and miss" since then. Terry expressed hope that Chelsea can still finish in the top four, believing they are just a couple of years away from competing for the league title once again.
He had previously suggested that Arsenal has an opportunity to dominate the Premier League following their strong start.
