The 2026 NCBA Tea Fields Trophy is set to commence this weekend at the Kericho Golf Club, spanning three days from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4. A total of 70 golfers are competing for a prize pool of Sh500,000. Cyprian Bundi, who recently clinched his maiden Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) Series title at the NCBA Nanyuki Open, is among the leading contenders aiming to build on his recent success.
Bundi demonstrated exceptional composure throughout his performance at Nanyuki, securing a 1-under 215 total to claim the championship at home ground. He set the pace with a 2-under par 70 in the opening round, followed by a 1-over par 73 in the second round, and concluded with an equal par 72 in the final round, ending the tournament with a total score of 215.
Bundi will face a formidable field comprising last year's first runners-up Elvis Muigua and Elly Barno, Joseph Rono, and Alex Mwangi among others.
