Arqiva appoints Simon Duffy as board chair

Winchester, UK - Arqiva Financing PLC (LON:20CA) has announced the appointment of Simon Duffy as Chair of the Board, effective immediately. Duffy, a seasoned executive with a proven track record in both public and private sectors, brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at companies such as Oger Telecom, Wizz Air, Millicom, NTL, and Orange.

He currently holds executive positions with Modern Times Group AB, Viaplay Group AB, and LW Theatres Limited, as well as a Non-Executive Director role with LW Entertainment Holdings Limited. According to Shuja Khan, Arqiva's Chief Executive Officer, Duffy's selection as the board chair emerged from a thorough search process. Khan praised Duffy's extensive experience in telecommunications, media, and technology, emphasizing his strategic insight and operational and financial acumen.

Khan also expressed gratitude to Scott Longhurst, who served as Interim Chair before Duffy's appointment. Duffy acknowledged the role Arqiva plays in the UK's communications infrastructure, highlighting the company's distinctive capabilities, longstanding customer relationships, and critical contribution as the market landscape continues to evolve.
