Amazon Launches New Line of Kindles and Accessories Right Before Prime Big Deal Days

Amazon has unveiled its 2026 lineup of Kindle devices and accessories just a few days prior to its Prime Big Deal Days sale. The refresh includes a newly designed Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Colorsoft, along with new accessories and Kids Editions. These devices and accessories are now available for purchase or preorder on Amazon.

Older Kindle devices are being discounted as part of Amazon's sale. The new models boast improvements such as being slimmer, lighter, and faster compared to their predecessors. Amazon has incorporated aluminum hardware options and sought-after features like cover page turning for the Signature Editions of the Paperwhite and Colorsoft models.

The standard Kindle is said to be 30% faster in opening books and will feature edge-to-edge color across the entire lineup. Amazon has discontinued support for older device models, making an upgrade to a newer version a worthwhile consideration. All Kindle devices released after 2024 will include the latest features and be compatible with newer accessories via Bluetooth.

Amazon's latest accessory, the Kindle Click, is a Bluetooth-compatible page-turning remote that costs $34.99 and will be released alongside most of the new 2026 Kindles. Additionally, Amazon is introducing new Kindle covers with physical page-turning buttons, adding a tangible experience to the digital product.
