This October 2026 brings a plethora of exciting new Android apps to explore. First up, Adobe Premiere, the video editing suite, has finally arrived on Android after a year-long iOS presence. The app focuses on shorter video formats like YouTube Shorts, boasts various speed and transition effects, and offers unlimited tracks for more complex editing.
Users can enjoy several AI features initially, though they'll need an Adobe account and payment after free credits run out. Prerequisites include Android 13 or newer and at least 5GB of RAM.
Next, SongFlip tackles the hassle of sharing music links across different platforms. By automatically redirecting links to compatible music services, users can now share music without jumping through hoops. The app supports Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, and Amazon Music, with a simple setup process and a free unlock option for a history feature. However, the app is free, but a paid unlock enables a history feature for those who accept multiple links daily.
Memoria, an offline gallery app, stands out with its AI-powered contextual search smarts. Using Apple's MobileCLIP-S0 model, Memoria enables natural language search functionality and photo-based searching. Users can find specific photos containing elements like birds by searching for the keyword or uploading a bird image. Unlike Google Photos, Memoria performs everything on-device, ensuring privacy.
The app may be heavy at 250MB, but its privacy-focused approach makes it a valuable addition to any gallery-loving Android user.
Lastly, for crochet and knitting enthusiasts, Rowtine emerges as the solution to managing yarn and needle projects. This comprehensive dashboard allows users to import PDF patterns, keep track of current projects, manage yarn stock, and calculate total item costs. With its extensive feature set and beautiful design, Rowtine is undoubtedly a must-have for yarn crafters, though general app lovers can appreciate its unique problem-solving approach.
