My hunger for a non-MOBA Deadlock continues.

You're hyped for Deadlock's new heroes and map updates, I'm hyped because of the 800 extra pre-match conversations, we are not the same

I'm eagerly anticipating Deadlock's upcoming heroes and map updates, but my excitement is primarily driven by the 800 additional pre-match conversations. I'm not the same fan as before. While I've dedicated over 2,400 hours to Dota 2 and 340 hours to Deadlock, I believe the game's universe and characters are so captivating that I'd love to share them with more players.

The recent major update has me thrilled with the stunning new environments, especially Baba, but the voice lines are what truly excites me. Not only has the game introduced a voice line viewer, but it has also significantly increased pre-match conversations between heroes, jumping from over 700 to 1500. Some of my favorite lines include the Drifter discovering a Lovecraftian god, Mina and Pocket being NYC's most separated couple, Celeste bargaining for her life, and Rem being a peculiar little oddball.

The new cast of five heroes is sure to add more dynamic interactions to Deadlock's roster, and I can't wait to see how characters like Seven, the capital punishment survivor, or Baba, the park bench witch, will interact with each other. With over 10,000 non-ping voice lines added, it's a substantial amount of work added to Valve's already excellent MOBA, and I eagerly await the Cursed Apple's final form.

A Practical Checklist for Debugging a Broken API Request (With Free Browser Tools)

  • Reproduce request with cURL using -i flag for headers
  • Inspect status code for specific error meaning
  • Decode JWT parts to check expiration and audience
