Women’s Leadership Key To Stronger India, CII WomeNation Summit Calls For Greater Enablement

Mumbai welcomed the 11th CII IWN WomeNation Summit 2026, where industry leaders, women professionals, entrepreneurs, and policymakers gathered to discuss enhancing women's leadership and participation in India's growth. Brijesh Singh, Principal Secretary (Information & Public Relations) in Maharashtra's government, emphasized that women's leadership is pivotal to building a stronger, more inclusive, and progressive India.

Singh stressed creating opportunities that empower women to lead, innovate, and contribute more actively to the nation's development.

Vir S. Advani, Chairman of the CII Western Region and Managing Director of Blue Star Ltd, highlighted that while empowerment is a crucial first step, true progress requires enabling women to assume leadership roles. He urged organizations to build robust pathways for women to progress professionally, take on leadership responsibilities, and drive innovation.
