In the northern West Bank, a Palestinian family, the Tubasis, were forced from their home by settlers two months ago. After trying to reclaim their residence through legal channels, they were finally allowed to return in the early hours of Tuesday. However, within hours of their return, over 100 settlers attacked the Tubasis once again, setting fire to their house and vehicles.

The Israeli military stated they worked to disperse the rioters and protect residents. Two suspects were arrested after the attack, which involved blocking roads, setting tires ablaze, and throwing rocks at security forces. Three border police officers received minor injuries, and a security vehicle sustained damage. The US State Department condemned the violence, calling for investigations, accountability, and legal processes for those responsible.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed the attacks as the work of a "handful of rioters," a claim his rival, Gadi Eisenkot, dismissed as anarchy resulting from the government's dangerous policies. The settlers involved in the Jalud attack are the same group that had previously besieged another Palestinian-American's home in the neighboring village of Qusra.

Israeli settlement watchdog Peace Now criticized the Israeli government for its "double standards," labeling the settlers as a large, organized terrorist militia.
