Utilise community police, take fight to kidnappers, criminals – Adeyanju to Edo Gov, Okpebholo

Lawyer Deji Adeyanju has urged Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo to employ community police in his administration's efforts to combat kidnappers and criminals in the state. Adeyanju, in a statement, commended the governor for his commitment to tackling insecurity, noting that prosecuting kidnap suspects and dismantling their hideouts sends a clear message that violence and crime are unacceptable.

While criticizing the governor's overall governance, Adeyanju praised the administration's actions in identifying, prosecuting, and demolishing properties linked to criminal activities. He further urged the governor to bolster these efforts by strengthening preventive measures statewide and fully utilizing community policing at the ward and local government levels.

This would allow communities to provide timely intelligence and support in preventing kidnappings before they occur.
