UP Pushes Faster IT, AI, Semiconductor & Data Centre Investments, Minister Orders Timely Project Implementation

On September 30, the Uttar Pradesh government, led by the Yogi administration, is ramping up investments in information technology, electronics, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, data centers, and startups to achieve a trillion-dollar economy. The IT and Electronics Department held a high-level meeting in Lucknow to enhance the sector's role in the state's economic expansion.

IT and Electronics Minister Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma presided over the session. The meeting reviewed the implementation of IT Policy, Electronics Manufacturing Policy, Semiconductor Policy, Data Center Policy, Startup Policy, and Global Capability Centers (GCC) policies. The focus was on fostering investment, innovation, employment, and technological development across various regions of the state.

Minister Sharma emphasized the importance of faster, transparent approval processes, timely project implementation, and attracting investment to create employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for the state's youth. The meeting aimed to establish regular coordination among officials and institutions to monitor progress and ensure a favorable environment for investors and entrepreneurs.
