Uganda Airlines to launch direct Accra-Entebbe flights from October 27

Uganda Airlines is scheduled to begin direct flights from Entebbe, Uganda, to Accra, Ghana, starting October 27, 2026. This move aims to enhance air connectivity and foster trade, tourism, and investment between the two nations. The airline's entry into the Ghanaian market is part of a broader strategy to deepen ties between West and East Africa.

In preparation for the inaugural service, Uganda Airlines has conducted commercial roadshows in Ghana to engage key stakeholders and raise awareness of the new route. These activities included a Travel Trade Workshop for Ghanaian travel agents and tour operators to showcase Uganda's tourism offerings and the airline's services. The airline remains committed to engaging business executives, tourism stakeholders, and consumers to explore opportunities for collaboration and promote the benefits of the new direct air link.

The Accra route is expected to generate new opportunities for tourism, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges between Ghana and Uganda. The airline views Ghana as a crucial economic partner and anticipates that the new route will cater to rising demand for both business and leisure travel. By strengthening links between West Africa and the broader East African region, the direct connection is anticipated to boost travel and cargo movement, create opportunities for exporters, importers, investors, and service providers, and facilitate easier access to markets.

The route is also expected to enhance business-to-business engagement and unlock potential in sectors such as hospitality, education, financial services, ICT, professional consulting, healthcare, creative arts, and entertainment.
