UAE Horse Racing Authority announces 41 horses to compete in first trial race of new season

The UAE Horse Racing Authority has revealed that 41 purebred Arabian horses will compete in seven races during the inaugural trial race of the 2026-2027 season. The races took place at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai, covering a distance of 1,000 metres. A statement from the authority highlighted the significance of the trial races in boosting the readiness of the horses.

Rashid Al Balushi, a member of the Stewards Committee, noted that 37 horses participated in races for the first time, while four others had previously competed. The success of the first trial race underscores the value of such races in enhancing the performance of Arabian horses in line with international standards. The positive collaboration among owners, trainers, and jockeys was cited as a key factor contributing to the race's success.
