Trump touts AI boss pledge to self-regulate

The tech executives had agreed to a deal outlining their pledge to self-regulate in a morally binding agreement, although this document would not be legally enforceable. The final document, known as the White House Accord, retained the possibility of converting these steps into laws or regulations if deemed appropriate over time.

At a press conference outside the Oval Office with the world's most influential tech leaders present, Trump confirmed he would officially rename the technology "super intelligence" rather than artificial intelligence, as the latter term inaccurately suggested it was not artificial. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg affirmed that the accord aims to assure customers that AI technology is being developed with proper oversight and control.
