Nagoya: India's squash journey at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games took a significant step forward on Wednesday as both the men's and women's squads advanced to the semifinals, guaranteeing the nation two additional medals in team competitions. The top-ranked Indian men's squad, also the defending champions, triumphed over Kuwait 2-0 in the quarterfinals at the Nagoya Kinjo Futo Arena, while the women's team secured a 2-0 victory against Singapore to secure their spots in the last four.

Men's Triumph Over Kuwait India kicked off their men's campaign with a decisive 3-0 win over China in Pool A, with Suraj Kumar Chand, Veer Chotrani, and Velavan Senthilkumar winning their respective matches. In their quarterfinal clash against Kuwait, Chotrani faced a tough challenge from Bader Almogghrebi in the opening game. After losing the second game, India rebounded to win 12-10, 8-11, 11-0, 11-5 in just 34 minutes.

Abhay Singh then clinched the tie with a dominant performance against Ammar Altamimi, clinching the match 11-3, 11-4, 11-8. Women's Team Advances to Semifinals India's women's team also made it to the semifinals after defeating Singapore 2-0 in their quarterfinal. Tanvi Khanna gave India a strong start against Au Yeong Wai Iynn, dominating the first four games to secure a 11-6, 4-11, 15-13, 11-1 victory in 32 minutes.

Anahat Singh then sealed the win for India by winning the second rubber, confirming their place in the semifinals.
