Thanks Logitech, your new AI-fueled game clipping software makes me look trash at Counter-Strike, but I'mma keep it installed
It works pretty well as a little manual recorder and editor.
I recently had the opportunity to test Logitech's new Replay software in Warsaw, which is currently in beta. This software records your game and utilizes deep learning to identify the best clips for you to splice together. While it appears promising, I found the results in Counter-Strike to be lacking. From two games, Replay included:
1. A spawn kill
2. A random, unimpressive AWP kill in the warmup round of a casual game
3. A clip of me looking at the ground in spectator mode, already dead
4. Numerous missed shots
It's worth noting that the software did capture some decent kills, such as Deagle kills, Scout quickscopes, and even a flick noscope in the deathmatch match. However, I decided to verify these claims and recorded a single deathmatch game myself. After using the AI-selected clips, I enhanced the compilation with some of my own chosen footage, resulting in a much-improved version.
While it's too early to draw definitive conclusions, I plan to continue testing Replay in Counter-Strike 2 and other games due to its compatibility with 44 games. The software is free to download and offers useful features like easy editing, storage management, and minimal performance impact. I encourage others to give it a try and share their experiences.
