TAEMIN Forced to Pull Plug on Entire North American Tour Due to Visa Issues: ‘No Clear Timeline For Issuance’

K-pop sensation TAEMIN has been compelled to cancel his entire North American leg of the TAEMIN WORLD TOUR due to visa complications. In an X post, the solo artist and former SHINee member disclosed that ongoing uncertainty surrounding U.S. visa and related administrative procedures has caused him to postpone the 2026-27 tour's North American dates.

A significant portion of the tour's key personnel, including the 33-year-old singer, are still waiting to receive their travel visas, with no clear timeline for their issuance. Given the ongoing uncertainty, the tour's organizers deemed proceeding with the schedule to pose considerable risks. Despite this, TAEMIN assured fans that the North American leg remains integral to the world tour and promised to announce rescheduled shows shortly.

Refunds for the originally planned North American shows will be offered upon request from the original point of purchase. TAEMIN apologized to fans, expressing his appreciation for their understanding and indicated he would soon share the new tour dates. The six-city tour was initially set to commence on October 12 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, before moving to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Grand Prairie, Texas, Chicago, and Newark, New Jersey.

These dates were part of TAEMIN's support for his August EP Phase 1: SOFT VIOLENCE, released four months after his debut at Coachella with the first-ever solo performance by a male Korean artist at the festival. Similar visa issues have impacted other international artists under the Trump administration, including Canadian indie rockers The New Pornographers, FKA Twigs, Australian artist Keli Holiday, and norteño artist Julión Álvarez.
