St. Louis delivery companies Flanagan-White, Zipp Express merge operations

Regional expedited delivery companies Flanagan-White and Zipp Express have combined their operations, expanding their Midwest presence through the integration of platforms and resources. Specific financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Flanagan-White, operating for nearly five decades, specializes in swift delivery, hazmat transportation, and specialized logistics across the Midwest.

The merger coincides with the retirement of Flanagan-White's president, Matt Carswell. Beth Sprenger, Zipp Express's president, expressed gratitude for Matt's decision to lead the combined company, noting their shared commitment to reliability, driver dedication, and exceptional customer service.

The merger equips Flanagan-White customers with Zipp Express' fleet of cargo vans, box trucks, and heavy-duty tractor-trailers. Zipp Express operates a warehouse spanning 50,000 square feet in Earth City, Missouri. Both companies are headquartered within the St. Louis metropolitan area. Carswell will take on an interim role within Zipp Express to ensure a smooth transition.

Zipp Express specializes in traditional trucking, courier services, and logistics, with a focus on expedited and final-mile deliveries and scheduled routes. Its sister company, Zipp Logistics, offers less-than-truckload transportation and other services through regional carrier partnerships. Matt Carswell praised Zipp Express for its strong management team, forward-thinking technology, and logistics systems, stating that he is confident in the transition's success.
