Sadha Naidoo appointed chair of Race Coast’s KZN and Western Cape boards

Sadha Naidoo, a prominent figure in South African racing and tourism, has been appointed as the dual non-executive chairperson of the Race Coast Western Cape and Race Coast KZN boards. Naidoo, who previously served as the non-executive director of Gold Circle and oversaw the transition phase from the Hollywoodbets’ banner to the present Race Coast entity, was announced in a statement this week.

To enhance operational efficiency across its racing regions, Race Coast has unified the structure of the separate boards within its Western Cape and KZN divisions. The Race Coast brand was unveiled in May 2025, marking the culmination of the merger between Gold Circle's operations in KZN and the Cape Racing in the Western Cape. Naidoo has been actively involved in various public entities, focusing on job creation, business development, and governance protocols.

His private business ventures encompass tourism, hospitality, property, and skills development, particularly in KZN, Mpumalanga, and the Western Cape. Basil Thomas, speaking on behalf of the Hollywood Group, praised Naidoo's appointment, highlighting his invaluable institutional knowledge and integral role during the transition from Gold Circle to Race Coast.

With the retirement of Greg Bortz, the newly formed boards of Race Coast Western Cape and Race Coast KZN consist of Zandile Maseko, Suren Rampersadh, Morgan Shandu, Dean Sawarjith, and Kaamilah Finch.
