‘Rs 1 crore ransom’: 3 Gujarat residents heading to US kidnapped in Ethiopia

Three Gujarat residents - two women and a man - who traveled to the US via an illegal route have been kidnapped in Ethiopia, according to their families. The abductors are demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore for their release. The missing persons are Rutvik Jansari from Vadsma village in Mehsana, Mamta Chavda from Mehsana, who is now living in Ahmedabad, and Mayuri from Gandhinagar.

Their families claim they paid around Rs 70 lakh for each person to reach the US. After reaching Ethiopia, the abductors reportedly demanded Rs 1 crore for the trio's release, and Rs 60 lakh has already been paid.
