RMD urges citizens to stop condemning Nigeria

Veteran Nigerian actor and filmmaker, Richard Mofe-Damijo, commonly known as RMD, has called on Nigerians to cease criticizing their country and begin addressing the issues plaguing it. Speaking at the inaugural Pivot Nigeria conference, RMD emphasized that every individual bears the consequences of how Nigeria is viewed internationally.

He asserted, "We are too quick to condemn us. There are problems but we need to fix them. Don’t stand and just criticise and then proffer no solution." RMD stressed that citizens must demand improved governance while also acknowledging how their actions contribute to Nigeria's image abroad. He advised, "Just remember who you are.

You are an ambassador, not just for yourself, your parents or your school, but ultimately for your country."
