Qatari PM calls Netanyahu ‘war criminal’, vows to continue mediation efforts

Qatar's Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, has labeled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a "war criminal" during an interview with Piers Morgan. Sheikh Mohammed, who is also Qatar's Foreign Minister, stated that the actions committed in Gaza constitute war crimes and that those responsible are war criminals as well.

Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the targeting of hospitals and schools in Gaza, emphasizing that no justification can be made for such actions. He also recalled Israel's attack on Qatar in early September of the previous year, during which Israel targeted Hamas officials while Qatar was engaged in mediation efforts.

Sheikh Mohammed stated, "We were attacked by Israel while we were mediating." He reiterated that Netanyahu has crossed a line multiple times before. Despite the escalating tensions in the region, he affirmed Qatar's commitment to continuing its diplomacy and mediation efforts.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed Qatar's intention to provide the best advice to the US government on finding a solution and to engage with Iran in the process.
