Producer Vashu Bhagnani hospitalised a day after IT raids on him, Rakul Preet Singh

Film producer Vashu Bhagnani is reportedly hospitalised in London, though the cause of his hospitalisation remains undisclosed. The news of his hospitalisation follows a day after Indian Income Tax Department conducted searches at 12 locations connected to Bhagnani, his daughter-in-law Rakul Preet Singh, and Panorama Studios. The investigation is focused on suspected irregularities involving funds, with officials examining financial records and details of alleged overseas transactions.

Vashu Bhagnani, founder of Pooja Entertainment, has faced numerous setbacks with several of his films underperforming at the box office, including the 2024 remake of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which he co-produced. Following the release of this film, the Bhagnani family was embroiled in a public dispute with filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar over alleged fund misuse and criminal conspiracy. Additionally, crew members accused Pooja Entertainment of withholding their payments.
