OGDCL and NAVTTC Announce Free Technical Training With Monthly Stipend

The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and OGDCL have commenced enrollment for their fourth free technical training program. This three-month initiative targets young individuals from select operational regions of OGDCL in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan. Classes will be held at the NAVTTC Centre of Excellence in Modern Technologies, Islamabad.

OGDCL will provide full financial coverage, which includes free training, certification, lodging, and stipend. The deadline to apply is October 7th, 2026.

The program offers nine courses, including digital skills, technical trades, fashion, and hospitality. Applicants can select courses such as E-Commerce and Digital Marketing with AI integration, Advanced HVACR, Fashion Designing and Dressmaking, Industrial Electrician and Solar PV Technician, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Advanced Welding, Advanced CNC/Machinist training, Hospitality Expert (professional chef training), and Auto-Mechanic with E-Vehicle training.

Eligible candidates must be between 18 to 40 years old, possess at least a Matric qualification, and have a valid Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC). They must also have a permanent or temporary address in one of the listed districts or areas within the mentioned regions.

Applicants from Punjab can apply if they reside in Chakwal, Attock, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rawalpindi, Rahim Yar Khan, or Jhelum. For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eligible districts are Lakki Marwat, Kohat, Karak, and Orakzai. In Sindh, eligible areas are Ghotki, Sukkur, Sanghar, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Khairpur, Jamshoro, Badin, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Sujawal. Balochistan's quota covers Dera Bugti North, Dera Bugti South, Jhal Magsi, Musakhel, and Barkhan.

Recipients of the program will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000, a travel allowance of Rs. 15,000, free hostel accommodation, and meals. OGDCL will cover all training and certification costs. Selected students will also benefit from industrial visits, recreational visits, and soft skills training. The program will be instructed by qualified faculty, and students will have access to laboratory facilities.

Application can be submitted through the OGDCL-NAVTTC portal, either online or as a hard-copy at the NAVTTC Centre of Excellence in Islamabad. The application deadline is October 7th, 2026.
