Obi-Kwankwaso ticket will unlock Nigeria’s potential — Lagos NDC senatorial candidate

Ladipo Johnson, the Lagos Central Senatorial candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, believes that a victory for the party's presidential ticket, led by Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, in the 2027 general elections will unlock Nigeria's potential. Johnson made this assertion during a press conference in Abuja to commemorate Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary.

He argued that despite Nigeria's uninterrupted civilian rule since 1999, the country's democratic development has remained largely procedural rather than substantive. Johnson emphasized that the 2027 elections present an opportunity for a much-needed political reset, stating that visionary leaders like Obi and Kwankwaso could bring accountability, competence, and structured discipline to the national stage.
