NFL admits Rams shouldn't have been called for DPI vs. Broncos

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay was informed by the NFL that cornerback Josh Wallace should not have been penalized for defensive pass interference in their Sunday game against the Broncos. The flag was thrown during a third-and-6 play from the Rams' 11-yard line, with Denver in a position to score. However, Wallis apparently did not manage to take the ball and officials instead called him for DPI, changing the momentum of the game.

This led to Denver scoring a first-and-goal from the 7-yard line, eventually winning the match 30-26. McVay expressed his dissatisfaction during the broadcast, seemingly saying, "You can't call that." Analyst Terry McAulay agreed with the decision, stating that he did not believe Wallace's contact warranted a flag. Bryant later admitted that he made a "little nudge" to help the call along.

McVay's postgame press conference lasted less than two minutes, where he addressed the penalty briefly and stated that it "doesn't really matter" and that they should move forward.
