Navi Mumbai Police Destroy 726 Kg Narcotics Worth ₹26.30 Crore In Taloja Under Nasha Mukt Campaign

The Navi Mumbai Police successfully destroyed 726 kilograms of narcotics, valued at ₹26.30 crore, that were seized in 201 separate cases. This took place at a government-approved waste management facility in Taloja, on Wednesday, as part of the Nasha Mukt Navi Mumbai campaign. The destruction occurred following completion of all necessary legal steps.

Senior officers Milind Bharambe, Deepak Sakore, Pramod Shewale, and Sachin Gunjal, among others, were present during the process. Commissioner Bharambe stated that the police would continue to intensify their efforts through coordinated action and public awareness. Narcotics worth ₹139.74 crore have been destroyed in total, including Wednesday's destruction.

In addition to seizing narcotics, the police have been conducting awareness programs in educational institutions, housing societies, and public venues under the Campus Connect initiative. These programs aim to educate the public about the dangers of narcotic drugs. A dedicated helpline, 8828-112-112, has been established for citizens to report narcotic drug-related activities, with the assurance that informants' identities will remain confidential.

The Navi Mumbai Police emphasized that the fight against narcotics would persist with intensified legal and coordinated actions, urging citizens to cooperate by providing information confidentially.
