Murid Tahun 6 melecur, mercun dibawa ke sekolah meletup

Police Chief Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz revealed that a Year 6 male student at a school in Muar was injured after consuming a substance that caused panic among the pupils when it was brought to school yesterday morning. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. and triggered a chaotic situation at the school, prompting the management to gather students in a safe area.

The victim, 12 years old, suffered injuries to multiple parts of his body and was taken to Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital in Muar for further treatment. Initial investigations suggest the student may have been affected by the contents of a substance found online. However, further investigations are ongoing to determine all factors contributing to the incident.

Police also searched the student's home and seized several items believed to be related to the incident for further investigation. So far, six witnesses have been questioned, and efforts are underway to locate individuals who may have had any connection to the event. Under Section 436 of the Emergency Relief Ordinance and Section 6 and 8 of the Explosive Substances Act 1957, further inquiries are being conducted.
