Montreal Canadiens down Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 in Gavin McKenna’s NHL debut

In Tuesday night's season opener, the Montreal Canadiens edged past the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2. Goals from Josh Anderson and Alexandre Carrier, along with an assist from Carrier, secured the victory for Montreal. Zachary Bolduc also found the back of the net for the Canadiens, who secured 25 saves from goaltender Jakub Dobes. William Nylander, who scored twice for Toronto, opened the scoring for the Maple Leafs just 48 seconds into the first period.
