Kwara PDP Raises the Alarm over Alleged Importation of Foreign Nationals for Polls

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has raised concerns over the alleged importation of foreign nationals by some politicians in the state, with the intention of using them for electoral malpractices in the upcoming general election, according to INEC. PDP state chairman, Hon. Issa Adamu Bawa, made these allegations during a one-day pre-election training workshop for over 3,000 PDP women in Ilorin.

Bawa identified Baruten Local Government Area as one of the regions involved in this alleged scheme. He urged INEC to take the necessary steps to ensure free, fair, and credible elections by investigating the individuals responsible for the alleged importation. Additionally, Bawa called on INEC to address the removal of billboards and posters promoting PDP candidates, as well as to organize debates among candidates to allow them to address the concerns of the Kwara people.

PDP Kwara State Women Leader, Hajia Aminat Isola, highlighted the crucial role women play in democratic elections and encouraged them to participate actively in the 2027 general elections, stressing the importance of understanding the voting process.
