Kongsberg bykser på Oslo Børs

Oslo Børs opened on Wednesday with the main index increasing by 0.25 percent. Oil prices, specifically Nord Sea oil, were trading around $96.1 per barrel, marking a decrease of approximately $1.7 since the market closed on Tuesday. The largest traded stocks at this time included Kongsberg Gruppen, which had signed a contract worth 10 billion kroner for the delivery of the air purification system, Nasams, to Belgium.

The contract was signed with the procurement authority in the Netherlands, on behalf of Belgium. The Belgian air force will be the end user of the system. It has been known since July that Belgium was to acquire the Nasams system, but the contract value had not been publicly disclosed until now. Kongsberg's CEO, Eirik Lie, expressed satisfaction at the prospect of welcoming Belgium into the Nasams family.

Simultaneously, Kongsberg signed a separate contract with the Netherlands worth around 1.5 billion kroner. The contract pertains to multiple Nomads systems and an expansion of the Nasams system in the Dutch air defense project Citdael. Gull producer Akobo Minerals turned to a profit of 47.3 million Swedish kronor in the second quarter, up from a loss of 24.6 million kronor the previous year.

The company's interim figures reveal this. Revenue increased to 57.3 million Swedish kronor, from 9.6 million kronor the previous year. The company attributes this revenue to gold production and gold prices, and the number may differ from actual sales. Revenue for the Solstad Maritime division rose to a plus 33.7 million Swedish kronor, from a minus 3.1 million kronor.

Marine contract solutions for two ships, Normand Scorpion and Normand Saracen, are expected to assist in drilling operations in Asia and the Southern Ocean region. The value is estimated to be in the upper range of the interval of $10–30 million. The contracts also include the possibility of 400 additional days. Hydrogen company Nel has received new orders from Collins Aerospace for equipment for life support systems for submarines.

The orders are worth around $7 million and pertain to marine programs in the USA, Britain, and France. Nel's $12 million order and smaller orders earlier in the month, combined, are worth around $20 million.
