Ketu South NDC clears 73 aspirants for constituency elections

In Ketu South, a total of 73 candidates have been cleared to participate in the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency elections. The vetting and balloting process has concluded, with 74 aspirants initially submitting nominations. Reginald Edem Zigah has been selected as the sole candidate for the Secretary position, following the disqualification of his predecessor, Desmond Kweku Tsewu.

A total of 2,963 delegates will participate in the elections to elect the constituency executives. Four candidates have been cleared for the Chairman position, with Amedorme Sylvanus Yao leading the ballot. Three candidates are competing for the Vice Chairman position, while two are vying for the Deputy Secretary role. The Communication Officer and Deputy Communication Officer positions have each been contested by two candidates.

Cleared aspirants are also vying for the Constituency Organizer and Deputy Organizer positions, with three candidates each. For the Treasurer role, Sablah Cornelius Kofi, Ahadzi Rocky Selasi and Mikado Dora Dede have been cleared. The highest number of candidates, 29, will compete for the eight Other Members positions. The Ketu South Constituency election is scheduled for October 23, 2026, due to the final funeral rites of the late Torgbui Addo, the Paramount Chief of the Klikor Traditional Area.
