Hoiana launches scholarship programme for those in need

Hoiana Resort & Golf has initiated a scholarship programme to assist students in need, awarding monthly financial support to 30 students over a three-year period. The initiative, launched on September 29, is a collaborative effort between the resort and five local authorities and organizations, including the Duy Nghia Youth Union, Duy Nghia Commune Police, and various border guard stations.

These partners will identify eligible students, maintain regular contact, and provide ongoing support to help ease financial burdens and encourage students to pursue their education. The scholarship recipients come from Duy Nghia, Thang An, Nam Phuoc, and surrounding areas, including children who have lost a parent or have caregivers unable to work.

From kindergarten students to first-year university students, they face various challenges in their daily lives and education, yet remain committed to their aspirations. Hoiana's CEO, Alan Teo, emphasized the importance of supporting every child to pursue their education with confidence and nurture their dreams. One recipient, Grade 10 student Vo Huynh Quang Minh, expressed his commitment to becoming a psychologist despite his family's financial struggles.

The MoUs signing and scholarship programme launch mark a step in Hoiana's corporate social responsibility efforts, focusing on long-term impact rather than one-off support. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thanh, a program partner, highlighted Hoiana's commitment to providing direct care and encouragement to students. Since its launch, Hoiana Resort & Golf has been involved in nearly 30 education-related programmes, with total funding exceeding VND20 billion ($770,300).
