HK can act as super-adapter for firms: Oases

The director-general of the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (Oases) has stated that the Special Administrative Region (SAR) can serve as a "super-adapter" for companies establishing operations in Hong Kong. In a recent interview with RTHK’s "Vision 15: Hong Kong’s Chapter", Peter Yan elaborated on the strategies Oases will employ in attracting foreign firms, aligning them with the country’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the city’s inaugural blueprint.

He emphasized that the SAR's unique position allows firms to efficiently manage production on the mainland, while simultaneously coordinating production and market development with other areas. "Under One Country, Two Systems, we are in fact the only place in the world that is backed by the nation’s massive productivity and market – all our external systems, modes of operations and standards can be integrated," Yan noted, highlighting the SAR's unique position as a result of this integration.

He further expressed optimism that as the Greater Bay Area development progresses and the government strives to advance the Northern Metropolis, Hong Kong's appeal to international companies is expected to continue its upward trajectory.
