Harga petrol tanpa subsidi turun 5 sen, diesel 15 sen

PETALING JAYA: Starting tomorrow, the unsubsidized prices of RON97 and RON95 petrol will drop by 5 sen each, while diesel without subsidy will decrease by 15 sen. According to a statement from the Finance Ministry, the price of RON97 is set at RM5 per liter, down from RM5.05, while RON95 will be priced at RM4.52 per liter, down from RM4.57.

Diesel without subsidy will be sold at RM5.27 per liter, down from RM5.42. These prices will remain in effect until October 7. Meanwhile, subsidized oil prices will not change, with RON95 remaining 1.99 sen per liter below BUDI95 and diesel through BUDI Diesel selling at RM2.10 per liter. The subsidy for the Petrol and Diesel Control System each also remains unchanged at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per liter, respectively.

The Finance Ministry predicts that fluctuations in petroleum product prices will continue as the conflict between the United States and Iran remains unresolved. Any new aggression in Western Asia could potentially reignite oil and petroleum prices, the statement said. The ministry urges the public to practice fuel conservation, plan more efficient travel, and reduce unnecessary trips to help sustain national supplies and alleviate pressure on subsidized expenses.
