Hana Financial, SEMAS launch project to support young business owners

The financial institution Hana Financial Group and the Small Enterprise & Market Service (SEMAS) have collaborated on a new initiative to assist young business owners, the financial firm announced on Wednesday. Titled "Hana On, Youth On," this project brings together 15 groups of young entrepreneurs from various parts of the country.

These teams will collaboratively undertake initiatives to draw in customers and enhance local commercial areas. Hana Financial and SEMAS inaugurated the project on Tuesday in Daejeon, with Ham Young-joo, the chairman of Hana Financial, and In Tae-yeon, the president of SEMAS, alongside approximately 100 participants of the program in attendance.

This endeavor is a follow-up to a memorandum of understanding between the two entities, signed in June, which aims to support young entrepreneurs and stimulate regional commercial districts. The selected teams will organize joint events and marketing campaigns, enhance their business premises, and devise other projects catered to the distinct needs of their local communities.

Both Hana Financial and SEMAS will contribute funding, professional advice, and customized financial assistance to the project. The Hana On, Youth On initiative specifically targets the empowerment of young business owners.
