Google Home now allows users to preview doorbell chimes, including limited-time holiday themes, before assigning them to their Nest Doorbell. This update, part of the latest Google Home update, eliminates the need to hear the chime by physically standing in front of the door. The feature includes audio previews for both regular chimes and seasonal tunes, allowing users to gauge which sound their visitors will hear upon arrival.
However, only the Oktoberfest theme is currently active, with the rest of the seasonal options to be released as the holiday season progresses. Users can access this feature within the Doorbell theme menu in the Google Home app, just to the left of each chime option. The Oktoberfest theme is set to conclude on October 9th.
